HOW TO PREPARE AMPESI AND ABOM

Ingredients

  • Yam/Plantain
  • Onion
  • Pepper
  • Tomatoes
  • Kontomire
  • Palm oil
  • Salt
  • Koobi
  • Eggs
  • Pear

Recipe

  • First wash the vegetables (kontomire, tomatoes, pepper) and boil.
  • Peel the yam and plantain wash it and boil with the eggs and salt.
  • When the vegetables are well cooked, grind onions and add the pepper, tomatoes and kontomire in an earthenware.
  • Add salt and stir
  • Wash the koobi and boil
  • When the yam and plantain are well cooked, heat the palm oil in a saucepan, slice onion and add to it.
  • Put the boiled koobi and eggs in the earthenware and slice more onions.
  • Add the palm oil if desired and stir.
  • Peel the pear and add to the abom (stew)
  • Serve with the boiled yam and plantain.
