Ingredients To Prepare kelewele
- 3 Riped plantain(not too riped)
- Pinch of salt
- Vegetable oil or Palm oil
- Powdered pepper(chilli powder)
First,peel and cut the plantain into bite-sized cubes.
Wash the vegetables(onion,ginger,pepper)and grind or blend then add salt and mix together.
Wash the plantain and add it to the mixture, then add the powdered pepper(chili powder) and mix it together
Next, heat enough oil in a deep skillet frying pan and fry the plantain(deep frying).
Fry the plantain till both sides are golden brown.
Serve with groundnuts, stew or rice(jollof,waakye or plain rice).
