1. 2 fingers of over riped plantain
  2. Vegetable Oil
  3. Salt
  4. Onion
  5. cloves(optional)
  6. Pepper / chili powder
  7. 1 table spoon of self raising flour



  1. Grind the onion,cloves and pepper in an earthenware.(grind till its fine)
  2. Add salt to taste
  3. Wash and peel the plantain. Cut them into the earthenware and mash it.
  4. Mash it till there are no lumps.(must be smooth)
  5. Add the flour and mix it.
  6. let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes.
  7. Heat enough oil to fry(deep frying)
  8. Use your hand or spoon to scoop the mixture into the oil.
  9. Keep turning till it’s golden brown
  10. To drain excess oil, put them on a tissue or a sieve.
  11. Serve with groundnuts or peanuts.
